A Child’s Requiem

A Child's Requiem

Steven Sametz’s A Child’s Requiem commemorates the students, teachers, and families whose lives were forever changed following the Sandy Hook School shootings in Newtown, Connecticut in 2012. Conducted by Sametz, The Princeton Singers and Orchestra, Princeton Girlchoir, and soloists Tami Petty, David Vanderwal, and Casey Durso, present this masterful work which gives voice to those who have been lost. The booklet accompanying the CD contains extensive notes on the work written by Sametz, as well the text and translations of all movements.
